During the holiday season, my family is always thrilled to partake in all the touristy Christmas and wintery activities in the city. Generally, we are pretty cheap and avoid traditional tourist traps like the plague. I can’t remember the last time we went atop the Empire State Building or saw Lady Liberty up close. However, something about New York and the magical holiday season warm the hearts of the penny-pinching Scourges of my household. Every year, we are bound to brave the cold for ice-skating at Central Park, fight crowds at Rockefeller Center, and gaze at Macy’s storefront widows. This year, we ventured into the Bronx for a new stop to our holiday foray through NYC: the Annual Holiday Train Show at the New York Botanical Garden!
